What is the true meaning of travel? Perhaps everyone has their own answer. Undeniably, however, travel is a way to rediscover both oneself and the world—to observe the globe through eyes of discovery and discernment, and to experience a way of life distinct from one's own. "The world is so vast; I want to go see it." This is the line a rather free-spirited teacher once penned on a letter of resignation. Many people dream of taking a spontaneous trip to enjoy life to the fullest. If you really had such an opportunity and the urge, where would you most like to go? Today, I would like to recommend an Asian nation to you: China.
City 1: Beijing
As the capital of China, Beijing boasts a long and rich history and culture, with a great many places worth visiting. The Forbidden City is said to have served as the residence for the emperors of China's Qing Dynasty; inside the main hall, you can still see the Emperor's "Dragon Throne." Every morning at 7:00 AM, a flag-raising ceremony takes place at Tiananmen Square; it is a highly ceremonial and impressive spectacle that is well worth witnessing. Due to the large crowds of spectators, it is sometimes necessary to arrive the night before to secure a good viewing spot. Of course, while in Beijing, you simply cannot miss the Great Wall; as an old Chinese proverb goes: "He who has never been to the Great Wall is not a true hero." You can try climbing the Great Wall; it's very rewarding to climb to the top. If you have limited stamina, you can also choose to take the cable car.

Shanghainese is also very interesting, those who are interested can learn a few phrases.

As the historic capital of six dynasties, Nanjing is a city that no traveler should miss. Xuanwu Lake sits right alongside the city center, which is directly accessible via the subway, making getting around incredibly convenient. There's no need to worry about traffic jams when traveling in Nanjing, as most of the popular tourist attractions are located along Metro Lines 1, 2, and 3, making it very convenient.
Here's a recommended, hassle-free route: Laomendong → Confucius Temple → Qinhuai River Scenic Area → Nanjing Impressions (Deji Plaza branch). This route is not only convenient but also saves a lot of time. This route is not only geographically logical but also saves you a significant amount of time.

Dali is located in close proximity to Lijiang, with both cities situated within Yunnan Province. It boasts a pleasant climate—mild in winter and cool in summer—and is renowned for its "Xiaguan Winds, Shangguan Flowers, Cangshan Snow, and Erhai Moon." Here, just as in Lijiang, you will have the opportunity to meet travelers from all corners of the globe. As the saying goes, "By the shores of Cangshan and Erhai, you reside within my heart"; indeed, a trip to Dali would be incomplete—and arguably in vain—without a visit to Erhai Lake. No modern travel itinerary would be complete without visiting the city's "influencer hotspots"—iconic photo spots such as the Glass Sphere, the "Mirror of the Sky," and the long white dining table setups. Dali Old Town is very large, with four gates. It's very lively and has a strong commercial atmosphere. There are many food recommendations, and you can eat all kinds of snacks along the way.

City 6: Yueyang
Yueyang is a city well-suited for both living and leisure travel. Since ancient times, it has enjoyed the poetic moniker: "Dongting boasts the world's finest waters; Yueyang boasts the world's finest tower." Together with the Yellow Crane Tower in Wuhan and the Pavilion of Prince Teng in Nanchang, it is celebrated as one of the "Three Great Towers of Jiangnan" (South of the Yangtze), a place that has inspired countless Chinese poets throughout history. Situated beneath the Yueyang Tower, Dongting Lake stretches across a vast expanse—so immense that ancient lore referred to it as "the Eight-Hundred-Li Dongting." Although the lake's surface area has diminished significantly compared to its historical size, it remains the second-largest freshwater lake in China.

Located adjacent to Suqian, Xuzhou is the birthplace of Liu Bang—the founding emperor of China's ancient Han Dynasty—and is widely regarded as the cultural cradle of the Chu-Han era. While Xuzhou may be considered a relatively niche destination within China, its people are known for their forthright, warm, and genuine nature. The city boasts a rich array of culinary delights from across the country, ensuring that visitors can enjoy both excellent dining and fantastic sightseeing experiences. The best time to visit Xuzhou is typically in early to mid-March, when vast fields of pear, apricot, and crabapple blossoms burst into bloom, transforming the city into a magnificent destination for flower viewing.

When speaking of Suqian, one simply cannot overlook the "Hegemon of Western Chu," Xiang Yu; indeed, this is his hometown. Xiang Yu was a legendary hero who lived during the same historical era as Liu Bang, the founding emperor of the Han Dynasty. Qingdao is, in its own right, a perennially popular tourist destination, famous worldwide for its eponymous Qingdao Beer. It is a favorite spot among young travelers: by day, visitors can head to the beach to walk barefoot on the sand, gather seashells, and catch small crabs; by night, sitting on the beach to enjoy the sea breeze—watching the sunset slowly dip below the distant horizon and snapping some atmospheric photos—before gathering around a bonfire to enjoy beer and barbecue, is an experience of pure, unadulterated joy.
