Some say visiting Jordan is like touring half the world. Why? Because Jordan boasts multiple “world-class” landscapes. If you seek ancient Roman history, the Jerash archaeological site stands as one of the best-preserved Roman cities; If you want to see the Sahara, head straight to Wadi Rum Desert for camel rides. If you seek the mystique of Egypt, Jordan's ancient city of Petra stands alongside the pyramids as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Plus, the world-famous Dead Sea is also in Jordan!

Wadi Rum Desert, also known as the Valley of the Moon for its lunar-like landscape, served as a filming location for The Martian. This has sparked numerous adventure activities here, such as desert trekking, rock climbing, and hot air ballooning—all worth trying.
Petra is synonymous with Jordan; mention the country, and it springs to mind. Classic films like Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen were filmed here. Plan at least two days to explore, as Petra preserves some of Jordan's most precious ancient ruins.
